Tirthan Valley Trek
- Duration: – 7 days & 6 nights
Meal plan: – All three meals during the trek. M.A.P basis during hotel stay (breakfast and dinner). Accommodation: – Day 1 and Day 6 hotel. During the trek twin sharing tents.
Day 1 – Pick up from Chandigarh Airport/ Bhuntar Kullu Airport and transfer to Gushaini – Tirthan valley, a quite little hamlet nestled in the Banjaar region of Kullu District of Himachal Pradesh. Tirthan Valley is around 6 – 7 hours drive from Chandigarh and around 1.5 hours’ drive from Bhuntar – Kullu Airport.
Overnight at Hotel/ Guest House/ Homestay.
Altitude: 1600 mts
Meals: Dinner at Hotel
Day 2 – A team meet up and introduction with the team and some briefing about the Trek. Drive from Gushaini up to Pekhri village (9 kms – by sharing cab), and start your trek to Rangthar for around 5 Kms. You will have a regular and comfortable climb up to an abandoned wooden abode. Then it is a steep climb to the village Lakcha. From Lakcha you continue a good trail up to Rangthar. Overnight at Rangthar.
Overnight at Camp (Alpine Tents).
Altitude: 2900 mts
Meals: Breakfast/ Packed Lunch/ Dinner at Camp.
Day 3 – Today after breakfast we move out to trek to reach a beautiful meadow which shall show a beautiful view of the snow-clad mountains of the region and then return to Rangthar. Overnight at Rangthar.

Altitude: 2900 mts
Meals: Breakfast/ Packed Lunch/ Dinner at Camp.
Day 4 – Today after breakfast we shall descend into the valley through some beautiful forest and meadows and a quite little village nestled far from civilization to reach our campsite beside the Tirthan River. Overnight at camp.

Altitude: 2000 mts approx.
Meals: Breakfast/ Packed Lunch/ Dinner at Camp.
Day 5 – Today we shall take you out on trail and explore the UNESCO world heritage site and at the end reach a beautiful waterfall and later return to our campsite beside the Tirthan River. Overnight at camp.

Altitude: 2000 mts approx.
Meals: Breakfast/ Packed Lunch/ Dinner at Camp.
Day 6 – Today we shall walk down and return to our cottage in Tirthan. Overnight at the cottage.
Overnight at Camp (Alpine Tents).
Altitude: 1600 mts approx.
Meals: Breakfast/ Packed Lunch/ Dinner at Hotel.
Day 7 – After breakfast, transfer back to Chandigarh/ Bhuntar Airport. End of services.

Packing List for the trekkers: (Own Arrangements)
- One extra pair of socks, t-shirts, pyjamas comfortable for walking, light and warm jacket, torch with extra battery and a poncho as it can be rainy depending on the weather at that time.
- Day sack is a must to carry your poncho, water bottle and lunch and extra jacket while walking from camp to camp.
- Good walking shoes and walking sticks if required for comfortable walking, also it helps a lot moving up and down in mountain terrain.
- Rucksacks not needed as there will be Mules/ porters to carry your luggage and shall be given poly bags to keep your clothes during the treks which they will carry.
- There will be some steep walking up and down mountain paths, so you should be prepared for the same and physically fit.
- Sunscreen and Sunglasses/ Personal Toiletries/ Medicines
NOTE: Itinerary is subject to change without notice due to weather conditions, snow fall and accumulation on the trek at higher camps and other natural calamities & circumstances considering the safety of the participants. Decision of the Trekking Guide/ Manager will be final wherever Safety is concerned.
