Route – Manali, Jalori Pass, Sarahan, Chitkul, Kalpa, Kaza, Kunzam Pass, Chandratal Lake, Rohtang Pass

Tentative Schedule

DAY 1 : ARRIVAL MANALIArrival Bhuntar Airport (Kullu) and transfer to Manali Hotel (around 1.5 Hrs drive). 

Meet and Greet at Manali Hotel and free Evening for Rest and Check your Bikes. Accommodation: Hotel Rohtang Heights or Similar. 

Altitude: 2050 m Meals: Lunch and Dinner at Hotel 


DAY 2 : MANALI    (KNOW YOUR BIKES)

Free day in Manali to acclimatize and Test Ride your Bikes around Manali. You may explore Manali town and surrounding areas during the day visiting Dhungri Temple, Naggar Castle and Local Manali Bazaar (Mall Road). Accommodation: Hotel Rohtang Heights or Similar.

Altitude: 2050 m

Meals: Breakfast & Dinner


DAY 3 : MANALI – JALODI PASS – RAMPUR   (197 KM/ 7-8 Hrs)
Today after Breakfast at the Hotel, you’ll start your ride along the Beas River downstream and Ride uphill towards Jalori Pass (3223 mts) crossing Banjar and Jibhi villages (through conifer forests) and then descent down to reach Rampur Bushahar. Overnight at Hotel Accommodation: Hotel Mahesh or Similar  Altitude: 1021 m

Meals: Breakfast and Dinner at the Hotel


DAY 4 : RAMPUR – SANGLA   (94 KM/ 4 Hrs)
Breakfast at Hotel. After Breakfast, ride towards Sangla via Karcham. Sangla (2643mts): One of the most charming valleys in the whole Kinnaur District, Sangla Valley is a perfect getaway from the hustle bustle of the swarming cities. It is named after a beautiful village by the same name.Bounded by strapping mountain slopes, sprawling evergreen forests and snow covered peaks. 

Accommodation: Kinner Camps or Similar 

Altitude: 2643 m

Meals: Breakfast and Dinner at the Camp


DAY 5  : SANGLA –  CHITKUL – REKONGPEO – KALPA   (100 KM/ 5 Hrs)
After Breakfast at Hotel/ Camp, Ride towards the Last Village of India towards China in this Region. Chitkul Village is around 28 Kms from Sangla and is the last inhabited Village near the Indo – China Border. After a stop at Chitkul Village, head towards Kalpa. 

Kalpa (2960 mts), is a small town in the Sutlej river valley, above Rekong Peo in the Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh. Inhabited by Kinnauri people and famous for its Apple orchards. Overnight at Hotel.

Altitude: 2960 m

Meals: Breakfast and Dinner.


DAY 6  : KALPA – NAKO   (98 KM/ 5 Hrs)

Breakfast at Hotel and start riding towards the beautiful Village of Nako. Nako lies in Upper Kinnaur on the edge of remote spiti valley and an important centre of Tibetan Buddhism. Nako has seven temples of different periods distributed all over the Village, including a monastic complex on its western edge. Nako is situated right on the Tibetan border over a small beautiful lake.

Altitude: 3636 m

DAY 7  : NAKO  – TABO – DHANKAR – KAZA   (140 KM/ 6 – 7 Hrs)

After Breakfast, ride towards the headquarters of Spiti Valley – Kaza and enroute visiting Tabo and Dhankar Monasteries. Dhankar Monastery was built as a fort monastery on the Central Tibetan pattern. The Old monastery is now closed as it is too old and can collapse. A new monastery is built now near the Old one from where you can view the old monastery.

Kaza is the subdivisional headquarters of the remote Tribal Spiti Valley in the Lahaul Spiti District. Bhuddhist Culture is famous here. Kaza is largest township and commercial center of the Spiti Valley. Overnight at Hotel.

Altitude: 3800 m

DAY 8 : KAZA – KEY – LANGZA – KOMIC – KAZA     (AROUND KAZA)

Breakfast at Hotel and then ride aroun Kaza visiting Key Monastery, Langza Village, Komic Village, Hikkim and back to Kaza. Key Monastery is the biggest monastery of Spiti Valley. It is also famous place or Training Centre for Lamas (Buddhist Monks). This place is situated at  about 4,200mtr. Langza – a Natural fossil centre – is a very small village about 5-10 homes including. Old monastery and a beauful statue of Lord Budha. Its elevation is about 4100mtrs. Komik village is most beautiful place at the height of 4,520 mtr. And is the highest motorable Village in the World. Overnight at Hotel.

Altitude: 3800 m

DAY 9 : KAZA – CHICHAM BRIDGE – KUNZAM PASS – CHANDRATAL LAKE     (97 Km/ 5-6 Hrs)

Breakfast at Hotel and start riding towards the lovely Chandratal Lake via Chicham Bridge and Kunzam Pass. Chicham Bridge is said to be the World’s highest bridge from sea level at 4.037m (13,244ft). It’s one of the most spectacular bridges in the world. The bridge is situated above a deep gorge about 1000 feet high. Before this bridge the villagers of Chicham used a dangerous ropeway to cross this section. Later cross the last Village of Spiti Valley – Losar and ride uphill towards Kunzam Pass (4590 mts) and then downhill towards Chandratal Lake. Chandratal lake alias the moon lake is a crescent-shaped basin, surrounded by the gigantic Himalayan Mountains on all the sides. The Lake remains frozen during winters.  Overnight at Camp.

Altitude: 4250 m

Meals: Breakfast and Dinner.


DAY 10 : CHANDRATAL LAKE – MANALI VIA ATAL TUNNEL     (110 Km/ 6- 7 Hrs)

After Breakfast at Camp, start the last day’s ride from Chandratal to Manali. It’s last but not the least, though the distance is not much but it take time to reach Manali as in between around 35 – 40 Kms strech of road is in very bad condition. You’ll be riding on pebbles, boulders, mud and streams. After that you’ll cross a 9 Km long tunnel and finally reach Manali by early evening. Overnight at Hotel. 

Accommodation: Hotel Rohtang Heights or Similar. 

Altitude: 2050 m

Meals: Lunch and Dinner at Hotel 


DAY 11 : MANALI – BHUNTAR AIRPORT     (50 Km/ 2 Hrs Drive)

Early in the Morning, you’ll be transfered to Bhuntar Airport (Kullu) to board your onward flight with Packed cold Breakfast from the Hotel.

  • Tips 
  • Insurance. Please ensure you have travel insurance for this Motorbike riding tour that covers medical evacuation, medical bills, repatriation etc. 
  • Any Kind of Drinks (Alcoholic, Mineral, Aerated at Hotels/ Camps)
  • Cost incidental to any change in the itinerary/ stay on account of flight cancellation due to bad weather, ill health, roadblocks and/or any factors beyond control. 
  • International Motorbike License as you may require as per required by your travel insurance 

Terms and Conditions

  • – 50% Advance to confirm the reservation.
  • – Balance amount to be deposited 30 Days before tour starts.
  • – 30% Cancellation before 15 Days of tour Departure, after which there will be no refunds
  • –  Full Confirmation of Hotels will be provided only on full payment.
  • – Vehicles provided as per tour plan (Point to Point Basis)
  • – Any services initialized are non refundable and any expenses subject to change in the program due to health, bad weather, road blockages or any other unforeseen circumstances will be charged extra.
  • – Prices valid from 15 June 2024 to 30 September 2024.

Things to carry

  • Your Riding Gears including Helmets, Jacket, Lowers, Riding Shoes, extra Socks, Warm cloths etc.
  • Sun glass with UV Protection
  • Torch with extra batteries.
  • Sun Screen lotion and cold cream.
  • Light towel (should be thin, quick drying kind).
  • Chapstick or lip balm
  • Personal toiletries/wind cheater/Tissue rolls.
  • An identification card (passport for foreigners and any photo id proof like Aadhar Card, DL etc. for Indians), along with a photocopy

Avoid Acute Mountain Sickness 

Acute mountain sickness can occur to anyone at an altitude above 10,000 feet’s from the sea level. The most common symptoms of the acute mountain sickness are headache disturbed sleep, loss of appetite, nausea, coughing, irregular breathing, breathlessness, lassitude and lack of concentration, Since Leh Town is situated at an attitude of 11,500 ft. above sea level, it is advisable to take the following precaution, so as to acclimatize your body properly.
